Conceria Priante has reached the Foundation + SAC, Sustainable Apparel Coalition level.
Conceria Priante Srl is pleased to announce its performance results in Higg's social and environmental audits. The Priante tannery was founded in 1956 in Arzignano, in the province of Vicenza. A company with over 60 years of history and success in the leather market, it continues to invest constantly in the search for new trends and designs.

Thanks to our trust in an increasingly sustainable production system, with social and environmental responsibility, we have become members of the most important organization in the fashion sector, which leads initiatives for a more responsible supply chain. Since 2020 we are members of SAC, Sustainable Apparel Coalition. The Sustainable Apparel Coalition is the leading apparel, footwear and textile alliance for sustainable manufacturing, working to reduce environmental impact and promote social justice along the global value chain. SAC has more than 250 members, which together represent over $ 845 billion in revenue.

Thanks to our commitment within the coalition, we have reached the Foundational + level in 2021, an important step for our growth within the member roadmap. This result motivates us and guides our actions in the pursuit of excellence.

To evaluate and measure our social and environmental performance, we perform Higg FSLM and Higg FEM audits.

The Higg FSLM, Facility Social and Labor Module, seeks to assess whether the social and working conditions of facilities are safe and fair for workers, obtaining a scoring assessment to understand pain points and focus efforts to fill gaps. The Higg FEM, Facility Environmental Module, was jointly developed by Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) and Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC), to converge their respective chemical bases in a single assessment questionnaire for the management of chemicals and other environmental issues, avoiding duplicate efforts and at the same time increasing the quality of the evaluation by allowing data sharing.
We got a score of 33 points in the Higg FEM, environmental module. Although it was our first evaluation within this protocol, we obtained good results on the topics "Energy Use and Greenhouse Gas Emissions", 60 points, and "Water Use", 63 points, which is the result of the our efforts in the efficient management of raw materials and energy.

Within the Higg FSLM, Higg's social module, we achieved an excellent compliance score of 77.8%, above the global average of the participating industries, with an emphasis on working hours, compliance and termination. and termination of the employment relationship, with respectively 98.6% and 100% of compliance based on the assessed criteria, proof of our commitment to respecting the working standards and the well-being of our employees. We believe that through assessments like these we can prepare ourselves for a more sustainable future, where attention to every detail will make a big difference and guide us towards a more efficient production process, which combines sustainability and innovation.
